Appearance: Red, slight brickish hue.
Nose: Smuckers strawberry jam and toffee.
Palate: Strawberries and cream push through with a backdrop of burnt orange peel. Lovely acidity and creamy weight with a lengthy citrus and sweet cumquat finish.
Food pairings: Pairing icewine with other sweets is overrated! Contrast this icewine with semi-hard, hard, rind-washed, or blue cheeses, focusing on cheese flavours like nuttiness, earthiness, smokiness, saltiness and spiciness. If you insist on a sweet pairing, go with dark chocolate, peanut butter, or tiramisu.
