Canadian wine delivered right to your door!
This is Ontario’s first VQA Port style wine. Hand picked and hand sorted from reduced crop as a late harvest. Perfected with a 50 year old recipe, this wine is aged for 2 years in used American oak barrels after the addition of Ontario brandy.
Appearance: Deep purple in colour.
Nose: Intense aromas of plum, dark cherry, cocoa, cassis, and black currant with hints of cigar box and sweet spices.
Palate: It feels like molten dark chocolate, followed with caramelized honey, surrounded with dark berry fruit with a hint of tobacco leaf.
Food pairings: Stilton cheese is the classic Port pairing, but dark chocolate, hazelnuts, almonds are great complementary foods too. Fancy the odd cigar? This is the perfect pairing with a good Cuban on a warm night outside by the fire. This Port-style wine will only get better with age, so don’t be shy putting away even until 2030.
