WINE PROFILE The nose has a lovely bouquet of strawberries, cherry and peach with a dash of orange blossom. Mouthfeel is lush, with medium-bright acidity followed by tart fruitiness on the palate.

Residual Sugar: 2.10 g/L

Organically farmed gamay grapes from higher altitude Secrest Mountain Vineyard was whole bunch pressed and native fermented to dryness in a mix of concrete (80%) and stainless (20%). A delectable salmon hue on the eyes and a bouqet of tropical delights on the nose. Creamsicle with a bowl of fresh strawberries jumps out instantly with delicious, savoury notes intertwining. The palate is lush with lavish notes of sumptuous sweet fruit. A glossiness coats the mouth leading to a very lengthening and mouthwatering finish. Enjoy with good food and good times!

This single vineyard gamay rosé comes off Haywire's estate Secrest Mountain Vineyard in Oliver. It's slightly darker in colour, going against the pale rosé trend of the moment, but it's all the better for it. There's an attractive combination of expressive fruit and savoury complexity, with dried cherry, rose petal, sagebrush, and layers of spice. Dry, with a soft, silky texture that elevates this wine (it's aged in concrete prior to bottling), there's excellent fruit intensity on the palate, which makes this a contemplative rosé to enjoy on its own, or equally versatile when it comes to food pairing.
