This Meritage is an absolute must-try! Starting on the nose, this wine has aromas of ripe fruit character layered with blackberries, mulberries, and plums followed by spices like cardamom, white pepper, and mineral notes like graphite. To taste, this extra dry wine has matured tannins and balanced acidity. With flavours of ripe fruits like black currants, dark plums, and figs ending with an elegant velvety finish.

Food pairing: Reverse sear cowboy steak.

The blend for this special meritage is 40% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Malbec sourced from the best barrels made at the estate. It’s magical on the nose with such an elegant array of sweet oak spices, black cherries, warm blueberry pie, black currants, mulberries, lifted perfume notes, and beautifully integrated spices. It all comes perfectly together on the palate in a melange of blackberries, blueberries, black currants, macerated cherries, wild summer raspberries, brambly, subtle earthy/forest floor notes, lovely spice, polished tannins, and a smooth, long finish with finesse. Tuck some away in the cellar in forget about them for a decade.

    Appearance: Bright. Semi-opaque. Dark ruby colour.
    Nose: Violets, dark cherry, blackberry, plum, licorice, baking spice, black pepper.
    Palate: Medium acid, medium tannin, medium body. Dark cherry, blackcurrant, green pepper, savoury green herbs, dark chocolate, black pepper. Well balanced.
    Quality: 90 points – Wine Club Canada. Outstanding.

    Food Pairing: Chicken shawarma with garlic sauce, ratatouille, reverse sear cowboy steak, traditional Korean bibimbap, and grilled lamb chops with mint pesto.
