As we continue to evaluate the feasibility of adding a second red variety to the Flat Rock Vineyard, we wanted to put our own spin on this classic. They say teamwork makes the dreamwork, and by co-fermenting these two high performing grapes, we'd have to agree.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn 2021 we had an abundance of high quality Pinot Noir, so when some of our favourite producers in Four Mile Creek offered up more Pinot, we knew we could experiment with it. We made 220 cases in the \"passe-tout-grains\" style with Pinot Noir and Gamay. Largely aged in stainless steel tanks, only 16% saw French oak barrels. This charming red is bright on the nose with tart cherry and field berries. The fruit carries onto the front of the palate, making way to more earthy, graphite notes through the finish.
