A bright Ruby red with a bouquet of cherry and red plum fruit, balanced by spice and oak notes. A light- to medium-bodied elegant pinot noir with flavours of cherry, spice, and oak. Notes of cherry, pomegranate, spice, earth, and oak linger on the extra dry finish.

Pair with mushroom lasagna; portobello mushroom on tomato basil fettuccine; veal cutlets; duck breast salad; quinoa, dried cranberry, and feta cheese salad; gourmet vegetarian pizzas with tomato, mushroom, and roasted red pepper; margherita pizza; La Sauvagine and Chevre Noir cheese platter with water crackers.

Appearance: Medium ruby colour.
Nose: Lightly toasty, cherry and raspberry bouquet with oak spice.
Palate: Richly extracted red berry and red plum flavours with well-integrated oak. Ripe tannins evident, give the wine structure.
Quality: 89 points. Very Good+. Hold 1 – 2 years.

Food Pairing: Manchego arugula bresaola hand rolls, duck stir fry with ginger and greens, pappardelle with wild mushrooms, traditional osso buco, and margherita pizza.
