Petit Verdot
Critic's Rating 92 pts
Petit Verdot is the grape varietal for true red wine enthusiasts. Siren’s Call Petit Verdot shows off a dense, inky, violet, black appearance, which foreshadows the qualities that follow – ripe, rich aromas of blackberry and plum, terrific tannin structure, and a full-bodied palate offering black currants, plums and spices, with hints of tobacco.

Siren’s Call Petit Verdot 2015 ($27). This varietal is rarely bottled on its own. Almost black in colour, the wine is dense and concentrated. Aromas of black fruits including black currant lead to flavours of black cherry and black currant, with leather, slate and licorice on the finish. Pair the wine with dark chocolate. 92.
