Winemaking Notes: This wine shows notes of cherry, red plum, earthiness, and hints of eucalyptus. This young Pinot has strong but smooth tannins. The finish is long and satisfying. This is a wine that will greatly benefit from bottle aging. Cellar for 8+ years.Â
Growing Conditions: The flagship Pinot Noir of the Tawse Portfolio, the Cherry Ave vineyard consistently produces exceptional quality wines. 2020 is being hailed as the "Vintage of the Century" due to the near perfect weather. Warmer than average temperatures and minimal rain resulted in favourable conditions for ripening and flavour concentration in the grapes. Unfortunately, the crop yields were lower than usual resulting in less wine production.
