Appearance: Deep purple-ruby in colour.
Nose: Cedary, lightly smoky, vanilla, cassis and plum bouquet.
Palate: Medium-bodied, firmly structured, cherry and plum flavours with ripe tannins.
Quality: 90 – 92 points – Wine Club Canada. Outstanding. Can be consumed with pleasure now, but will reward holding for 1–2 years.
Food Pairing: Thin crust pepperoni pizza, spicy beef barbacoa, bacon-wrapped pesto pork tenderloin, Indian butter chicken, and fried tofu with spicy ginger-sesame sauce.
