Our flagship white wine is a classic Bordeaux blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. It is a wine of grace, elegance and age-worthy structure.
Eyes: Light golden in the glass.
Nose: The wine shows aromas of lemon curd, grapefruit, and subtle wisps of smoke.
Mouth: The palate shows flavours of ripe grapefruit, lime zest, as well as more tropical flavours of passionfruit, quince, and pineapple. There is a lively sense of saline minerality stringing these flavours together into a unified whole, through to the long finish. There is only the most subtle sense of oak but more telling is the sense of volume and richness coming from the sur-lie barrel aging.
Recommended food pairings: Complex and engaging, this is a seafood wine par-excellence: sea-bass, tuna, crab, or oysters would be a knock-out. Roast chicken or herb-crusted pork would be excellent too. Enjoyable now, this is a wine which will develop an added sense of richness with age.

Appearance: Clear, light golden hue.
Nose: Salty sea air, lemon balm, sage, yellow grapefruit.
Palate: Medium weight; textured with grapefruit pith, white peach, fresh lime, and light salinity.
Quality: A well-balanced blend with wonderfully integrated acid and just enough oak treatment to add structure without overwhelming the fruit with flavor. Drink now or hold for two to three years.
Food pairings: Seafood pastas, Cobb salad, chicken salad sandwiches, fish and chips, goat cheese, potato salad.
Wine Writer’s Comment:
A wonderful balance of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. The Sauvignon Blanc brings vibrant citrus character with plenty of fresh herbs and zippiness, while the Semillon offers stone fruit and a touch of waxiness to round things out well. The oak treatment is just enough to frame the fruit without adding unnecessary flavour. Vibrant acidity is on point here, bringing a juiciness that makes the wine quite food-friendly. While enjoyable chilled and straight out of the fridge, once the wine comes a little closer to room temperature – layers of tropical fruit begin to rise to the surface, along with floral honeysuckle notes, adding to the wine’s overall complexity. What we have here is quite the charmer.
