Another classic, delicious Westcott Chardonnay. The 2020 Estate Chardonnay presents notes of sweet golden apple, pear and toasty vanilla. Rich and creamy on the palate with well balanced acidity and a lengthy finish. This Chardonnay is a delight to drink.

Though just a kid and a chardonnay with mild, subtle and demure aromatics, there is something lurking, an emotive credibility that tells a story of vintage, winemaking and change. The fruit here does not need to be the richest and ripest ever grown on the Niagara Escarpment. In fact the blessed clemency of phenolic ripeness supersedes warm buttered peach for a crisp, friable and crackling ’20 bookended by a soft entry and mellow ending. Balanced throughout, made more complex by white flower and orchard fruit moments, engaging, participatory, spot on. Drink 2021-2025. Tasted October 2021.
