Rich notes of plum, ripe black cherry and currant that tantalize the taste buds. Medium acidity with soft tannins, this wine is great to enjoy now, but will also soften and develop with a few years in bottle.

Pinot Noir sourced from the Westcott Home Farm vineyard and Butlers' Grant. 30% whole cluster fermented and all wild malolactic fermentation. Fermented in 100% French oak. 0% new. 22 months barrel aged.

The 2019 estate Pinot, a blend of the estate’s Westcott Home Farm vineyard and Butlers’ Grant, is 30% whole cluster fermented with all wild malolactic fermentation. It was fermented in 100% French oak, of which 20% was new oak, and aged for 22 months. Such a gorgeous nose of pretty red berries, black raspberries, seductive Pinot perfume notes and perfectly integrated spice notes. It’s nicely integrated and balanced right with bright red berries, anise, fine tannins, some structure, a pinch of spice, subtle earthy/savoury notes, and a bright, finessed finish. Very nice Pinot that represents the house style.

  • Connoisseur Note(s):

    Westcott's 2019 Estate pinot noir pours a pale garnet colour, with lifted, pot pourri and desiccated red berry fruit aromatics to match, moving nicely along its evolutionary curve. The palate is light and silky, with balanced acids, and long, perfumed finish. Drinking well now, or continue to hold for a year or two. Tasted March 2023.
