Vivid aromas of raspberry, plum and violet on the nose. Candied red fruit on the palate accompanied by notes of juicy black cherry and vanilla. Fresh and fruit forward with beautiful balanced acidity and pleasant tannins. Medium bodied with a long, silky finish.
100% Whole Cluster and wild fermented. Aged for 10 months in barrel. 2 years bottle aged.

Westcott’s Vinemount Ridge chardonnay and pinot noir are now the fully re-invented and meaningful collaboration between winemaker Casey Kulczyk (who joined during the '18 harvest) and Vineyard Manager/Assistant Winemaker Garett Westcott. With this 2018 there is a soundness, a deliberate stylistic and a reasoned seasoning that brings all parts of the decision making together. The pinot noir sees 100 per cent whole cluster and wild ferment, followed by 12 months in barrel, then two years of bottle age. Smells like roses in peak season, a distilled note of conifer and a seep of red fruit plus black teas. A balanced attack and long finish dictate the present and probability for a long future ahead. Solid work is the understatement and in Westcott’s ’18 there is no over. Drink 2022-2027. Tasted October 2021.
