Winemaking: Pinot Blanc grapes were picked from our Hidden Terrace Vineyard in Oliver within the Okanagan Valley, and the Rocky Ridge Vineyard in the Similkameen Valley. The Pinot Blanc grapes were gently pressed, cool fermented, and aged in stainless steel tanks for pure fruit expression. 4% Gewurztraminer and 3% Riesling were blended in to build on the tropical flavours.
Characteristics: This Pinot Blanc is clear and bright with a clean, fresh-fruit aroma of red apple, pear, white peach, and honeydew melon. A smooth yet refreshing, just off-dry, medium-bodied wine with flavours of juicy orchard fruits. Notes of citrus, apple and honeydew melon linger on the finish.
Food Pairings: A wonderful sipping wine or aperitif. Enjoy with salmon quiche; poached salmon; lightly spiced crab cakes; pan-fried fresh-water fish; pan-fried scallops; roast chicken; shrimp skewers; lightly spiced pork tenderloin; crown roast of pork; creamy Brie and pear slices.
Serving Temperature: For a refreshing mouthfeel serve between 10 and 12˚C, or to enhance a richer profile, serve slightly warmer at 13 to 15°C.
