Description
This Chardonnay is highly structured, and the older vines might have something to do with it. Plenty of quince and pear on the palate, with a slight orange character. A touch of residual sweetness on the palate makes the fruit come forward. Salad nicoise would be a great pairing for this wine.

Appearance: Golden straw in colour.
Nose: Toasty, spicy nose of Bosc pear with a floral top note.
Palate: Medium-bodied, richly extracted pear and apple flavours with tangy acidity. A note of tangerine and grilled nuts. Velvety mouth-feel.
Quality: Outstanding. 90 points. Drink now or through 2021.
Food Pairing: Fried blue cheese-stuffed olives, turkey pot pie, crème brûlée with berries, tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons, and linguine with pear and gorgonzola cheese.
