a)  Benjamin Bridge - This winery is one of Canada's most acclaimed sparkling wine producers. 2013 Nova 72008 Brut

2013 Nova 7 - A gorgeous sparkling blend of seven grape varietals. The aromatics on this wine are amazing with floral notes of jasmine and white rose, citrus and passion fruit. Slightly off dry and entirely delightful, this is a major crowd pleaser! ($26.95)

2008 Brut - A complex sparkling wine made in the traditional method. Expect notes of peach, cranberry, and spice with a nice undercurrent of minerality. ($49.95)

ONTARIO

b)  Aure Wines - Tucked away near Niagara's Beamsville Bench, Aure Wines is family owned and operated with sustainability and "living green" in mind. Signature varietals are Gamay, Cabernet Franc, Riesling, and Marechal Foch which are grown on 50-year old vines.

2013 Riesling   2011 Reserve Cabernet Franc

2013 Riesling - Light bodied, but well balanced and with a nice zing of acidity. This is a great value wine! ($13.95)

2011 Reserve Cabernet Franc - Aged for two years in French oak, this wine has flavours of dark fruit, plum, spice and pepper. Pair with roasts of all kind! ($25)

c)  Casa Dea Estates - This Prince Edward County winery proudly produces wine from grapes grown exclusively in their two PEC vineyards. This is quite a feat when you see the size of their portfolio!

   2011 Pinot Noir

2013 Gamay - Everything you want in a Gamay - fruit, spice, and everything nice. This is your pizza wine, try it also with pasta and anything from the BBQ. ($15.95)

2011 Pinot Noir - A true PEC Pinot with juicy dark fruit and a strong backbone of minerality, and aged for 12 months in French oak. This is excellent quality for under $20! ($19.95)

d)  Pearl Morissette Estate Winery - Led by visionary winemaker François Morissette, Pearl Morissette focuses on crafting high quality wine from very specific varietals. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Cabernet Franc are some of their signature wines.

2013 Cuvée Métis2012 Le Spectateur

2013 Cuvée Métis - A personal favourite, this wine is half Pinot Noir and half Cab Franc. An unusual blend, but Morissette manages to create a real standout wine with juicy red and black fruit flavours, spice and a hint of pepper. Absolutely lovely! ($27.20)

2012 Cabernet Franc Le Spectateur - Encased in a Bordeaux bottle, this wine is incredibly unique and was limited to only a 316 case production. Dark cherry and plum, fig and spice emerge in this complex wine. ($40.20)

BRITISH COLUMBIA

e)  Black Widow Winery - Owned and operated by the Lancaster family, Black Widow Winery prides themselves on their small lot, mostly single vineyard, premium wines that are crafted exclusively from grapes grown on the Naramata Bench. Expect aromatic whites and rich, bold reds from these folks!

2014 Oasis  2013 Syrah

2014 Oasis - A gold medal winner at this year's National Wine Awards, this blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Schonburger is delightfully fresh with floral and tropical fruit notes.  The perfect starter for any gathering! ($22)

2013 Syrah - Smoke, pepper, dark cherry, and aged for 21 months in French and American oak, need we say more? An outstanding Syrah produced in a limited quantity of only 150 cases, so get your hands on this before it sells out! ($36)

f)  Orofino Vineyards - The accolades for John and Virginia Weber's wines have steadily been building for years and 2015 has been the pinnacle so far. Known primarily for their rich Rieslings, they are leading the way in showing the world the high calibre of wines that can come from the Similkameen Valley.

2013 Home Vineyard Old Vines Riesling   2012 Scout Vineyard Syrah

2013 Home Vineyard Old Vines Riesling - This wine represents the best grapes from 24-year old vines. Expect tropical fruit with lime and minerality, and a long finish. It's simply the best of the best, nectar in a bottle, and a must have for any Riesling lover! ($29)

2012 Scout Vineyard Syrah - Dark cherry and black fruits, earth, and pepper.  Aged in French and American oak for 20 months.  This wine is wonderfully smooth. ($29)

g)  Terravista Vineyards - White wine fans, you'll want to get to know this winery. Bob and Senka Tennant have been the first winemakers in Canada to grow and craft white grape varietals Albariño and Verdejo, typically grapes grown in Spain and Portugal. We're happy to report, their wines are sublime!

2014 Fandango   

2014 Fandango - A gold medal winner at the 2015 National Wine Awards, there's a lot to be proud of with this gem. Juicy, crisp, and fresh, there's tropical fruit, white peach, citrus and herbal notes to be enjoyed here. ($24.90)

2014 Viognier - Peaches, nectarines, a kiss of lime, and honey.  This is an excellent Viognier - a perfect sipper or to pair with appetizers, seafood, and roasted chicken dishes. ($18.90)

h)  Wild Goose Vineyards & Winery - In action for 25 years already, the superb winemaking at Wild Goose Vineyards never ceases to amaze us. Their aromatic white wines have put them on the map and set the bar high for Gewürztraminers, Rieslings, and Pinot Gris' everywhere.

2014 Autumn Gold     2014 Mystic River Gewürztraminer

2014 Autumn Gold - I've said it once, but I'll holler it from the rooftops again, this wine is spectacular.  A blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling, it's a dream at under $20. It sells out every year, so jump on it with free shipping! ($19)

2014 Mystic River Gewürztraminer - Another excellent wine, vintage after vintage, this Gewurz is crafted from 25 year old vines. Intensely floral and fruity, you'll get notes of rose petal and lychee. Divine! ($23)
