Top Wine Picks For Father's Day - Plus Free Shipping!

Father's Day is this week and I can't think of a better gift than some bottles of wine from Niagara's Kacaba Vineyards for dad to drink this summer. I don't want to play too much into the dad stereotypes, but I'm sure there will be barbeques and many other opportunities this summer to revel in fantastic wine. This week also coincides with a free shipping offer from Kacaba Vineyards on orders of six or more bottles. Get these exclusive wines this week with no shipping costs! If you (or dad) haven't had the chance to get familiar with wines from this awesome Niagara winery, now is a great time. Here are a few of my favourites.

1.  2015 Reserve Riesling - Kacaba is known best for their full-bodied reds, but they've also taken home awards for their Reserve Riesling. There are few things as thirst quenching in the summer months as good Riesling (and few wines as versatile to pair with food). This one has a touch of sweetness with classic green apple, citrus, and grapefruit notes. ($20.15, 12.5% alcohol).

2.  2013 Terraced Vineyard Syrah - Speaking of barbeques and summer wine... thanks to the innate peppery and meaty quality of Syrah, it makes for a perfect match with grilled meats and sausages. The Terraced Vineyard Syrah balances the savoury elements with bright fruit characters. It's also been a favourite among the critics garnering 91 points, and winning the silver medal at the esteemed Syrah du Monde competition this year. ($32.15, 13% alcohol).

3.  2014 Cabernet Franc - Kacaba Vineyards turned a lot of heads with their 2013 Cabernet Franc. This is the recently released follow-up that'll be a hit with dads who like fuller and structured wines. It's showing a blend of herbal and spice notes with bright red fruit. This heavy-hitter garnered a whopping 94 points from the critics. ($27.15, 13% alcohol).
