Tinhorn Creek consists of two vineyards in the Golden Mile Bench and the Black Sage Bench. As a result, Tinhorn’s wines range from sweet and aromatic to dense with hints of spice. Most importantly, Tinhorn Creek has a knowledgeable team that cares for every acre and uses environmentally friendly practices. Their impressive portfolio shows off the complexity and diversity of Okanagan wine.
For that reason, we were excited to be able to taste Tinhorn Creek’s truly exquisite wines for ourselves. Now we’re sharing some of our favourites with you! You can find all these wines and explore even more in your own October Wine of the Month package.
This award-winning white wine captivates with aromas of rose, ginger, and tropical fruit. Flavours of mandarin and lychee dance on the palate. Pairs well with Thai curry dishes, smoked pancetta, or beef satay with peanut sauce.
A black cherry, cedar nose, and a bit of spice make this red an extra special treat. Medium-bodied with flavours of cherry and a touch of vanilla on the finish. Perfect for pairing with pecorino pizza or maple-glazed chicken breast with mustard jus.
This well-balanced red has a beautiful deep purple colour and ruby core. It offers a bold palate with rich flavours of black currant, plum, cherry, spice, and smoke. Serve with grilled flat iron steak with blue cheese, pan-seared duck breast with blueberry sauce, or caramelized roasted squash, red peppers, and beets.
Oldfield Reserve 2Bench White, 2017
This medium-bodied white blend exudes summer nostalgia with flavours of citrus, peach, and apple. Aromas of lemon, green apple, and a light floral note add to the experience that is this 2Bench white. Goes brilliantly with sashimi, avocado toast with Halloumi, or gnocchi with sage butter.
