Here are some of our favourites from Red Rooster, which can all be found in the March Wine Club Package!

2017 Rare Bird Series Gewürztraminer

There's no doubt this wine is impressive, with its long lingering finish and delightfully fruity flavours. On the nose, this wine promises lychee, cardamom and a hint of minerality. Medium to light bodied, this wine is bursting with grapefruit, lychee and tangerine. It will taste great with jerk chicken, sautéed shrimp with cilantro and lime, or sumac berry-crusted cod.

2017 Rare Bird Series Viognier

This well balanced wine will help get you through the last stretch of winter with its fruity flavours. Aromas of white peaches, lemon zest, and minerality are abundant. On the palate, this wine is dry with a floral note building onto peach and lemon flavours. A great match with seafood, try it with spicy fish cakes or seafood paella.

2016 Cabernet Merlot

A deep ruby red wine with aromas of smoke, cedar, and cigar-box. With a medium body, this wine is full of blackcurrant flavours that are complemented by savoury herbal notes. Try this wine with shepherd's pie, roasted pork loin with cranberry glaze, or corn and black bean tacos.

2016 Rare Bird Series Pinot Noir

This dry red presents a prominent cherry and raspberry bouquet complemented by oak spice and a hint of cedar. On the palate, black raspberry is prominent with a tannic lift on the finish. This wine is exceptional paired with rich foods like blue cheese hamburgers or roasted duck.
