My Wine Canada Wine Club Feature: Rosewood Estates Winery

It's officially autumn and what better way to ring in the new season than with a new featured winery of the month? We're excited to put the spotlight on Rosewood Estates Winery for October. Seated in the Beamsville Bench, Rosewood proudly produces wines that are 100% VQA and is also home to Niagara's first honey wines.

Sign up for the wine club today to get outstanding Niagara wines delivered straight to your doorstep. Family-owned and operated, Rosewood's focus is simple: craft low-intervention wine, innovative mead, and local honey that tells a story of the Niagara Region. Read on to learn more about the featured bottles that are included in this month’s packs.

After earning his degree in oenology and working at wineries in New Zealand, Australia, California, and British Columbia, expert winemaker Ryan Corrigan now calls Rosewood Estates Winery his home. Corrigan's approach to wine is not to automate with machines, rather to be flexible and highlight what the fruit offers. He takes pride in learning, exploring, and innovating. In order to showcase the true beauty of the fruit, Corrigan does not add exogenous products to Rosewood's wines such as selected yeast or fining agents choosing instead to let the wine shine on its own.

While you're waiting for your wine to arrive, here's a sneak peek at some of the gems that are included in our October Wine Club box.

2017 Renaceau Chardonnay

A vibrant, textured chardonnay with natural mouthwatering acidity. Notes of pear, apple, vanilla, toasted oak, and baking spice on the palate. Enjoy with chicken alfredo, barbecued shrimp, or your choice of grilled fish.

2020 Riesling AF

2020 Riesling AF

A medium-bodied, off-dry white. A bouquet of white flowers, peach, green apple, and tropical fruit carries through to stone fruit, pineapple, orange, and red apple on the palate. This riesling pairs beautifully with Thai food, fried calamari, or Hawaiian pizza.

2021 PTG

2021 PTG

A light red with a near-equal blend of blaufränkisch, gamay, and pinot noir. Mouthwatering flavours of cherry, plum, dark chocolate, and pepper on the palate. Enjoy alongside ricotta-stuffed ravioli with rosé sauce, grilled tuna, or pork tenderloin.

2020 The Looking Glass

2020 The Looking Glass

A medium-bodied cabernet franc-dominant blend with a small percentage of cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot. Notes of plum and blackcurrant dance on the nose and palate with a peppery finish. Try this vibrant red with spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce, lamb gyros, or turkey with cranberry sauce.
