My Wine Canada Wine Club Feature: Tender Hope Winery
We are thrilled to feature Tender Hope Winery this month. Located in the Okanagan Valley, B.C., this boutique winery was founded in 2016 by winemaker, Efi Perel. Through his remarkable portfolio, Perel aims to bring sippers and swirlers on a tasting adventure across the Okanagan and Columbia Valleys.

After travelling around the world and gaining 25 years of experience in the international winemaking industry, Efi Perel settled in the Okanagan Valley and worked for various vineyards before starting his own winery project. He partners with several vineyards across the Okanagan Valley and Washington's Columbia Valley, south of the border, to procure the best fruit for his wines. Using traditional winemaking techniques and minimal intervention, Efi allows his wines to mature naturally, allowing the grapes to showcase the distinct terroir of the two regions. Tender Hope offers a rare opportunity to indulge in a unique tasting experience that brings you the best single-varietals and blends from both sides of the border.
Here is a peek at some of the superb bottles that are included in our April Wine Club box.
A beautifully-balanced white with notes of green apple and baking spice. Awarded 91 points by wine expert, Tony Aspler, this elegant chardonnay is excellent with lobster BLT on potato rolls or penne with creamy avocado sauce.
A crisp, dry blend of riesling, chardonnay, and sauvignon blanc with flavours of apple, grapefruit, and lemon-lime. Pairs well with prosciutto, melon, and mozzarella skewers or grilled chicken and Brie calzone.
A rich blend of merlot, cabernet franc, and malbec with velvety tannins and notes of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and tobacco leaf on the palate. Try it with butternut squash and black bean chilli or Chinese-style crispy duck pancakes.
This medium-bodied Columbia Valley cab has a cedary, blackcurrant nose with flavours of cassis, black cherry, and spice. Rated 90-92 points by Tony Aspler. Enjoy alongside vegan enchiladas or flank steak with chimichurri.
