This beautiful Chardonnay was lovingly aged in new French oak, giving a toasted caramel and vanilla finish. Tropical notes of pineapple and peaches and a rich creamy mouthfeel make this an intriguing and complex wine.

Tasting notes for the 2016 vintage.
Appearance: Bright, clear, straw coloured core, lighter rim.
Nose: Medium aromatic intensity. Citrus, stone fruit, banana, baking spice, and a touch of honeycomb.
Palate: Medium body, medium acid. Lemon zest, orange and grapefruit, a hint of vanilla and baking spice.
Quality: Very good quality with a medium finish. A well-balanced expression of Chardonnay. It’s drinking well now, but could cellar for 2-3 more years.
Food Pairing: Fried plantain with chipotle aioli, grilled halibut with miso sauce, steamed crab and shrimp dipped in butter, butternut squash soup, and crispy-skinned roasted chicken with lemon.
