The warmth of this desert climate lends to a very fruit forward, ripe style of riesling, while the cooler nights preserve this grape’s characteristic acidity and freshness. This wine was fermented to complete dryness, and showcases notes of lime, peach, grapefruit, and a unique minerality The palate is full of citrus and stone fruit flavours, and finishes with crisp, mouth-watering acidity.

Wine Writer’s Comment:
It seems often our Rieslings are bone-dry with very intense acidity, or at the other side of the spectrum, sporting a cloyingly sweet profile. The balance here is good, with bright fruit and just a hint of residual sugar. Not only will this Riesling be quite dynamic for food pairing at your dinner (or lunch) table, but with its approachability and cheery citrus fruit, it’ll shine at brunch too! The couple of years of age on it brings a depth of flavour, resulting in marmalade notes that fold in well with the citrus fruit on offer, like Meyer lemon, lime and pomelo. Chill this one right down and share with friends, topping up liberally. This wine will suit the summer well.
