This is our first Appassimento style wine. Hand picked and hand sorted from reduced crop, naturally fermented. Aged 20 months in newer French and Eastern European Barrels.
Appearance: Deep crimson colour.
Nose: Red and black fruit, vanilla, raspberry, earthiness.
Palate: Dry, well balanced, medium bodied with full yet soft tannins, with candied raspberry and mixed berries on the finish.
Food pairings: Grilled striploin, smoked ham hock, lentil soup. Try it with blue cheeses, or simply a cigar. This wine will age wonderfully, so enjoy it now or store it up until 2025.

Appearance: Bright. Semi-opaque. Garnet core, maroon rim.
Nose: Medium aromatic intensity. Black cherry, blackberry, licorice, green bell pepper, a wisp of menthol, nutmeg, black pepper, vanilla.
Palate: Medium body, medium acid, medium+ tannin. Black cherry, blackberry, licorice, leather, cigar smoke, green vegetal notes.
Quality: Very good quality. Appassimento style, aged 20 months in newer French and Eastern European oak barrels. Deeper and even more well-balanced than the 2013 vintage. Drinking wonderfully now.
Food Pairing: Virtually any red meat dish from grilled steak with Portobello mushrooms and bison burgers to beef stew and charcuterie, black olive tapenade, roasted lamb with rosemary and mint, and eggplant Parmesan.
