Viognier will always be an exotic rarity in Niagara - it needs a very warm site in October to ripen properly. Our tiny, perfect Vio block at QRV was originally planted to service our flagship Broken Press Syrah/Viognier red wine, but we noticed very early on that the varietal wine was a stunner too.Year-in year-out those vines deliver the goods, and we can make another small batch of the ‘‘delicious impossibility’’ that is Viognier.
Awards & Ratings
What a lovely, rich and expressive viognier, with honey, caramel and apricot on the nose and a generous, substantial mouthful with no heaviness. Can I get some salmon, with that?

It is this small production Queenston Road Vineyard labour of love that crawls beneath the radar. The '13 is outright juicy, unctuous, feathered in weight and warm-pitched to verdant greens.
