A mega-pixel definition of preserved lemon, spiced pear and honey-scented apple wedges. The palate unveils a delicately balanced mouthful of dry-edged orchard fruit, an affirming minerality and a distinct lees creaminess. Little oak, bountiful fruit, all pleasure.
Food Pairings: Butter & cream sauces - crab stuffed cabbage rolls with gruyere sauce or lobster crepes with hollandaise. Oak accent hightens corn preperations, corn fritters, crisp pancetta. Also pairs with exotic flavours - tropical fruit salad, coconut milk curries and Asian teriyaki. Cheese - Brie, Swiss, Jack.

Appearance: Bright. Clear. Golden core, lighter rim.
Nose: Medium aromatic intensity. Green apple, orange and lemon citrus, stone fruits, oak spice, vanilla.
Palate: Medium body, medium acid. Citrus and stone fruit notes with a hint of tropical fruit, hazelnut, saline, baking spice.
Quality: Very good quality. This wine was aged for 12 months in French oak and this expression is more of a savoury, spiced Chardonnay. The winemaker’s talents really shine through on this wine as it’s well balanced, complex, and beautifully flavoured.
Food Pairing: Carbonara pasta, Alfredo sauces, lobster bisque, quiche with pancetta, Jimmy cakes with fruit salsa, grilled cheese sandwiches with fig & caramelized onion.
