Inky purple in colour this medium to full bodied Malbec is a unique and robust red with notes of pomegranate, plum and a hint of spice on the nose. The palate is rich with coffee, mulberry and cocoa characteristics and a balanced finish.
Food Pairings: Pair this wine with a variety of dishes from around the world. Try it with roasted leg of lamb, Charcuterie or a bold, aged Cheddar cheese. For a South American flavor – pair it with Carne Guisada – a savory beef stew!

Appearance: Clear. Medium intense ruby core to a paler ruby rim.
Nose: Clean. Medium+ intensity of youthful aromas of cherries, red plum and vanilla with a slight note of smoke.
Palate: Dry. Medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol, full body with medium but firm tannins. Medium intensity of bright red fruit with crunchy notes of raspberries, red plum and cherries. Subtle aromas of vanilla and smoke.
Quality: Well made.
Food pairings: Steak, hamburger, sausages, shepherd's pie.
Wine Writer’s Comment:
This wine was a nice surprise. Malbec is definitely not a common grape to find in the region and this one is well made. It’s always interesting to witness the different expressions of a grape in varied climates. If you’ve had Malbec from Cahors or Argentina before, this has its own unique character. Worth trying, it's quite charming.
