Tasting Notes: Aromas of blackberry, acacia, and honeysuckle may be what draw you in but the strawberry, rose, and eucalyptus on the pallet is what will keep you coming back for more. This wine pairs well with… honestly, a lot of things but we think it’s perfect with a seafood benedict and a side of sun-soaked patio.
Winemaker's Notes: The small nature of our bladder press can make the Pinot noir blanc a real challenge to make. Minimal skin contact is key to ensuring we achieve a golden hue and that means we have to move fast. The first batch of grapes to hit the crush pad are swiftly (but ever so gently) tossed into the press. This golden juice is then fermented in 100% stainless steel until it’s put into the bottle.
Harvest Notes: For us, making Pinot Noir (in all its different forms) is truly a labour of love. The hot summer days and cool nights make this vineyard prime Pinot growing country. There is no questions that the 2016 growing season was incredible but sadly, we can’t say the same about the harvest. These grapes were hand-picked on some of the rainiest days in Okanagan history by a group of dedicated friends and family. We did a total of four basket presses of Pinot noir blanc making this two-ton production our largest yet.
