The bouquet reveals notes of Damson plum, dark cherry, smoke, toasty oak, chocolate, leather, coffee and tobacco leaf. This Syrah has a full body, moderate drying tannins, and a fruit-forward palate of dark plum, accented by notes of sweet spice.
Excellent with pepper steaks; grilled red meats; wild game meats; London Broils; beef and root vegetable stews; beef brisket; lightly spiced chilli; short ribs; mild lamb curry.

Palate: Medium acid, medium body, medium tannin. Savoury. Cigar ash, tobacco. Savoury green herbs. Earth. Smoky.
Quality: Very Good+. 89 points. Well balanced, well structured. Lengthy finish.
Food Pairing: Steak tacos with chimichurri, barbecued spareribs with collard greens, walnut and mushroom stuffed venison, smoked gouda grilled cheese with homestyle ketchup, and vegetarian chickpea chili.
