Bright garnet colour with a bouquet of dark plum, cherry, smoke, oak, spice and cedar chest. This medium to full-bodied Merlot has soft yet drying tannins, great structure and moderate acidity. The fruit-forward palate shows notes of juicy red berries, plum and cherry, with accents of spice. The extra-dry, lingering finish shows notes of black tea, dark plum, cherry and spice.
Enjoy with grilled red meats and sautéed mushrooms; Portobello mushrooms; black bean stews; lamb stews; roasted leg of lamb; beef brisket; three-year aged Cheddar and Asiago cheese.

Nose: Dark cherry, blackberry, violets, pepper spice, and smoke.
Palate: Medium acid, medium tannin, medium body. Dry. Plum, dark berries, smoke, black pepper, green vegetal and herbal note. Well-balanced with ripe tannins.
Quality: 88 points. Very Good+. Drink now or hold 2-3 years for added complexity.
Food Pairing: Grilled striploin with goat cheese mashed potatoes, beef wellington with corn succotash and blackberry jus, cannelloni stuffed with ricotta and grilled vegetables, herb-marinated lamb chops with bread pudding, and dark berry cobbler.
