55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Barbera, 20% Sangiovese
Deep garnet colour with a lovely bouquet of baked blue plum, black cherry, sweet oak, Chai spice, along with a warming savoury note. This medium to full-bodied wine has soft yet drying tannins, good structure and food-friendly acidity. Red berries and red currant fruit notes unfold on the palate, complemented by notes of spice and coffee bean. Chai spice, sweet oak, vanilla, red licorice, earth and charred wood notes linger beautifully on the finish. Serve with grilled red meats; rosemary lamb chops; roasted leg of lamb; rich Rigatoni Bolognese with Parmigiano Reggiano; meaty cheesy lasagna; veal parmesan; cured meats and crusty breads along with Pecorino, Parmigiano Reggiano or Grana Padano cheese.

The extended growing season provided the true expression of the Italian varietals, Barbera and Sangiovese, and to show their amazing potential in the Okanagan Valley. The use of Cabernet Sauvignon assists in building the structure and tannins of the blend, along with increasing complexity, depth and polish.
