A full bodied red with grippy tannins, bright acidity and notes of blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, chocolate, and minerality. This wine is drinking great now but will age for 5+ years. Cellaring and decanting is recommended.
100% Merlot aged 30 months in French and American Oak barriques. Unfined and unfiltered.
Pair with grass-fed beef, truffle risotto, hard cheeses or dark chocolate.

Appearance: Deep, solid ruby colour.
Nose: Cedary, gently spicy, blueberry and black plum bouquet.
Palate: Medium-bodied, richly extracted blueberry flavour with well-integrated oak offering hints of vanilla. Lovely velvety mouth-feel with ripe cocoa-powder tannins.
Quality: Outstanding. Decanting recommended. Hold a year to resolve the tannins and drink through 2024.
Food Pairing: Herb-stuffed pork chops, parmesan truffle risotto, spaghetti with meatballs, roasted chicken thighs with thyme and rosemary, hearty vegetable soup.
