Description
Bold and elegant, with velvety tannins, well-balanced fruit and oak characteristics. Blackberry and cassis with dark black fruits and supple texture. This Meritage is crafted with 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and 14% Cabernet Franc. Matured in small French oak casks for 15 months prior to bottling. Ready to drink now, this wine should age well through to 2024 and beyond.

Geographical Indication: Okanagan Valley, BC
Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon (52%), Merlot (34%), Cabernet Franc (14%)
Vineyard: Sundial Vineyard

Appearance: Bright. Semi-opaque, garnet core, burgundy rim.
Nose: Medium+ aromatic intensity with plum, black cherry, red fruit jam, raspberry, black currant.
Palate: Medium body, medium acid, medium tannin. Black fruits (think black cherry, blackberry, black currant and plum), and vanilla.
Quality: Good quality. Lovely black pepper and spice notes on the finish. This wine was aged in French oak for 15 months before bottling. It’s drinking nicely now, but could age 5+ more years.
Food Pairing: Goat cheese frittata, BBQ beef ribs, Chinese roast duck, prime rib dinner with whipped potatoes and grilled vegetables, game meats like grilled venison or bison burgers.
