Description

This blend of 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Semillon combines to form rich, rounded, vibrant notes. Classic white meritage aromas of honeydew melon, pear, and a hint of tangerine. On the palate, tastes of apricot and mango swirl with ripe gooseberry. This wine is mellowed by barrel ageing, resulting in a sturdy and vibrant finish with delicate traces of oak. Intended to age well.

Geographical Indication: BC VQA Okanagan Valley
Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc (51%) and Semillon (49%)
Vineyard: Silver Barrel and Desert Wolf in the Okanagan Valley
Residual Sugar: 0 g/L

Appearance: Pale straw in colour with a lime tinge.
Nose: Slightly grassy, green plum bouquet with a touch of oak spice.
Palate: Medium-bodied, dry, gooseberry and green plum flavour with fresh acidity; well-balanced with a long finish.
Quality: Very Good+. 89 points. Drink now and through 2021.

 

Food Pairing: Pan-fried scallops with herbs, pasta primavera with yellow squash and zucchini, baked sole with fresh herbs and goat cheese, chicken and artichoke pizza, and fried soft shell crab on brioche.
