Mead

Mead is fermented from honey rather than grapes, and Canada makes very little of it commercially — this page holds what the marketplace currently carries.

Expect it drier than the word honey suggests. Most of the sweetness ferments out, so what is left is floral and lightly tannic rather than syrupy. Serve it cold.
