This wine displays a wonderful concentration of dense brambly fruit (raspberry, blackberry and currant) while the palate shows staunch structure within a velvet glove. A wine worthy of long cellar aging.
Winemaker's Notes
• Multiple clones play a role in the layered complexity of this wine;
• Careful bunch selection and oak tank fermentation, followed by gentle aging in small barrels for up to 10 months.

Mushrooms, pork liver pates, tuna, grilled salmon, roasted chicken, duck and other game birds.
The 2019 vintage was a featured wine in December's Wine Club package, 2021.

Nose: Red cherry, redcurrant, blackberry, white pepper. Green herbal note.
Palate: Medium acid, medium tannin, medium body. Dry. Cherry, cranberry, plum, green herbs. Hints of earth, vanilla, and oak spice. Well-integrated oak.
Quality: Outstanding. 90 points. Drink now or hold 1 – 2 years.
Food Pairing: Chinese dim sum, smoked pork loin with peach chutney, seared duck breast with redcurrant sauce, creamy pea soup, and smoky cedar-grilled salmon with roasted peppers and wild rice.
