Beguiling, fragrant aromas might have you expecting equivalently gentle flavours. Not so! Fresh sweet cherry, sun-ripened raspberry and pot pourri decorate the nose. The palate bursts with red berry flavours: cherry, cranberry and redcurrant with zesty spice extending through the finish. Smooth tannins build a mouthfeel that is luscious and round.

Gamay clusters were picked between October 13th and 19th at average 21.1° Brix. They were sourced from four vineyards, 47% from Huebel Estate, 32% from Wismer Foxcroft, 13% from Genova and 8% from Malivoire Estate.

The newly harvested grapes fermented, half as whole-berry clusters and half crushed, in alternating layers, in stain-less-steel tank. After seven months to age in neutral French oak, 213 cases were bottled in June 2022.

At the time of bottling, alcohol was measured at 12%, residual sugar at 3.3 grams per litre; titratable acidity at 7.1 grams per litre and pH at 3.39.

Dry: 3.3 g/L residual sugar

Vegan friendly.

Food Companions: Serve near 14 ° C with charcuterie, grilled duck in a plum sauce or Korean Pork Bulgogi.

Enjoy now through 2025.

Juicy, vivid, pure and quite elegant in style with sweet cherries and raspberries, and a nice lightness, finishing with some fine spicy notes. Has some fine green character in the mix.

Pale ruby red. Very fruity, fresh, red berry scented, simple, juicy, balanced, easy-drinking, chill and crack - would happily drink this. Tasted blind at the NWAC awards June 2022.

Candied redcurrants, ripe cherries, and pepper lead in this clean, fresh, and fruit-centred gamay. Tannins are mild and acids are tart and lively. Ready to drink. Serve chilled. Length is very good. Tasted blind at the National Wine Awards of Canada, June 2022
