Barrel Fermented Chardonnay, 2016

With 100% estate-grown fruit. this barrel fermented Chardonnay spent 10 months maturing in French Oak. Appearing a bright straw-yellow colour in the glass, the nose shows citrus peel, melons, candied oranges and a hint of butter and barrel spice. The palate offers a creamy smooth texture with oaky vanilla and toasted bread crumb flavours popping out on the finish.
Pairing Suggestions: Try with dried fruit and curried chicken salad, tuna mango ceviche or semi soft chèvre goat's cheese

Nose: Light toast and spice aromas are followed by lemon, peach, and apple pie.
Palate: Medium acid, medium body. Notes of green apple, grapefruit, lemon, and baking spice. Well balanced with a round mouthfeel.
Quality: 90 points – Wine Club Canada. Outstanding.
Food Pairing: Crab cakes, Tandoori chicken, mussels with tomatoes and chile peppers, poached salmon with lemon and dill sauce, and tornado potatoes with queso fresco.
