Chardonnay
WINE NAME
2019 White 101
Description/Winemakers Notes:
An excellent vintage for white varieties and early ripening reds. We had a moderate summer with a cool fall. This blend is predominantly Chardonnay, for a smooth mid-palate, and Riesling for a strong backbone of acidity. There are small portions of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewurztraminer to add some lifted aromatics.
Tasting Notes:
Clear, pale lemon. Fresh citrus and salinity on the nose with a hint of orange blossom. Bright acid on the front of palate, with a nice texture and mandarin orange and pineapple flavours on the finish.
Pairing Suggestions:
Would be an excellent pairing with oysters or light fish. Can be drank on it’s own or with and salad with citrus based vinaigrette.
