Our 2020 Bella Terra Viognier starts with aromas of floral and fruit character with notes of camomile and roses, followed by hints of honeysuckle and cantaloupe. To taste, this extra dry wine starts with a bright acidity and creamy texture. Layered with flavours of tropical fruit like dragon fruit, mango and pomelo followed by a sweet spice flavour like nutmeg, ending with a long finish.

Pair with a Swiss cheese fondue or your favourite seared scallops!

This Vio is barrel fermented and barrel aged for 22 months, with 25% of the barrels made with acacia wood. Acacia brings an elevated texture and less of a woody taste. The nose shows lifted aromatics of apricots, poached pear, sweet spice notes, mango/tropical fruits, and a floral accent. It’s rich, generous, and creamy on the palate with notes of apricot tart, ripe pear, yellow apples, mango, elegant spices, luxurious texture, and a long finish.

    Appearance: Clear, bright. Straw colour.
    Nose: Orange blossom, jasmine, honeysuckle, pear, red apple, hint of apricot.
    Palate: Medium acid, medium body. Stone fruit, orange rind, baking spice.
    Quality: 90 points – Wine Club Canada. Outstanding. A luscious and unctuous mouthfeel.

    Food Pairing: Teriyaki tofu, poached salmon with dill sour cream, tomato and chickpea curry, baked crab macaroni and cheese, and Swiss cheese fondue.
