Description/Winemaker's Notes
Quickly becoming one of Niagaraâs most grown grapes, Gamay does well in our climate and soil, and turned out to be a great addition to our portfolio in 2022. The wine was fermented in stainless steel on skins for 3 weeks and pressed off into neutral oak barrels, both 228 and 500 L.
Tasting Notes
Great red colour, lots of red fruit with a hint of spice. The palate continues the red fruit and adds some darker fruit and licorice flavours as well. There is a creaminess on the mid-palate, accompanied by a smooth, dry finish.
Pairing Suggestions
Duck confit with cherry compote, barbequed burgers or vegetable kebabs.
