Description from the Producer
Winemaker’s Comments: This barrel-fermented Chardonnay was made with organically and sustainably farmed, hand-harvested grapes from Robyn's Block, our oldest Chardonnay vineyard. Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, this wine strikes the perfect balance between vibrant acidity and a luscious mouthfeel. On the nose it offers a complex bouquet of aromas such as ripe pear and green apple and subtle notes of citrus are beautifully layered with hints of vanilla and toasted oak from the careful barrel aging. Flavors of stone fruit, particularly peach and melon, blend seemlessly alongside a minerality that reflect the vineyard's limestone soils.
Food Pairings: Enjoy this Chardonnay with a flavourful seafood pasta or a simple chicken and buttery mashed potatoes.
Residual Sugar: 2g/L
