It has been a long wait but at last it's back. Your favourite everyday red, our 2021 Merlot Cabernet Franc.
70% Merlot picked on the 21st of September and 30% Cabernet Franc harvested almost a month later on October 19th. This Bordeaux style blend was aged in neutral French oak barrels for 12 months before being bottled this spring. This affordable red has long been a favourite of our loyal customers offering may of the qualities you have grown to expect from an Upper Bench red wine. Perfect for the BBQ and pairs perfectly with our line of Upper Bench cheese.
Nose: black cherry, strawberry, cacao, cinnamon, cloves, cassis, cranberry
Palate: raspberry, cherry, black currant, plum, vanilla, nutmeg
Residual Sugar: 2.2 g/L
