Tasting Notes: On the nose we get a bright strawberry sorbet, with candy apple, candied lemon and a hint of hibiscus. The weight and mouthfeel starts off oily and soft but transforms mid palate to a quenching dry finish. The flavours are incredible with intense strawberry, cotton candy and ambrosia apple.

Winemaker's Notes: Our spur pruned Gamay Noir block in the Four Mile Creek appellation produced really well in 2022. This block has great air-flow and rich alluvial soils and sand which produce incredible fruit. The weather of 2022 was lean but favourable and provided the right heat units needed to develop ripe flavours, along with cool autumn nights that preserved the freshness and acidity. With double berry sorting only the ripest berries made it through, where we then did a quick press of the Gamay. 95% of this wine was then fermented in stainless steel and a small percentage fermented in four French oak barrels. No malo lactic fermentation was done and the wine was fermented to dry. The colour is a beautiful soft pomelo pink (fun fact: the colour was assessed from Le Centre du Roses and our colour is pantone colour J9). The wine starts off fun and lively and finishes with a persistent dry finish. This wine is refreshing and screaming out Summertime! Enjoy this on a patio, on a sunny day, on a rainy day, with a group of friends - it truly is an anytime wine!

Food Pairing: Enjoy this Rosé with pastas, fresh salmon, grilled octopus, ceviche, or fresh shrimp. Will also pair beautifully with a ripe Heirloom tomato salad, chevre, strawberries, and cantaloupe . Embrace the freshness of this wine.

Ravine purchased a vineyard from Chateau des Charmes in 2021 in the Four-Mile Creek sub-appellation. It has proved to be a bountiful source of Gamay, both for rosé and as a stand-alone wine that is gaining in popularity across the globe. As Tomek says: “I (expletive deleted) love it.” It displays showy cassis fruit, wild red berries, plums, a pretty floral note with just a hint of spices. On the palate it’s a flavour bomb with ripe red berries, earthy accents, black currants, a squirt of citrus and plenty of juicy of acidity on the finish. A delight.
