Lover's Lane Merlot, 2020

A gorgeous deep and brilliant garnet red in colour. Lover’s Lane Merlot offers lots of black fruit, plum and savory BC character. Fruit driven plum and cherry flavours, integrated oak and supple tannins make this an easy drinking red. Enjoyable and intriguing to smell, with layers of complexity and depth!

Pairs air well with richly sauced dishes such as steak in a red wine sauce, roast beef or with casseroles. Delicious with caramelised roast veggies especially those with a touch of sweetness, such roast squash, red peppers and beets and fried or grilled mushrooms.

Behind the name: The Old Yale Road is a historic early wagon road that serviced the Fraser Valley. Today, Yale Road running east is a heritage site called the “Old Yale Wagon Road.” Known fondly by locals as “Lovers Lane,” lovers of all ages meet and take romantic walks along Old Yale Wagon Road.
