Cabernet Sauvignon

Grown on a steep hillside in the South Okanagan Valley, this Cabernet Sauvignon underwent a 5 day cold soak and a 31 day maceration before aging 12 months in barrel. We only bottle this wine in the best vintages and the 2020 vintage was a prime example, yielding a full-bodied and structured wine with intense notes of ripe black cherry and blackberry with a finish framed by spicy notes of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon and pepper.

Pairing Suggestions: Grilled meats, charcuterie platter, dark chocolate

The 2021 vintage was a featured wine in April 2024's Wine Club package.

Vineyard: Various east Osoyoos vineyards

Appearance: Bright. Semi-opaque. Dark garnet colour.
Nose: An intense, smoky bouquet with notes of cherry, savoury green herbs, and menthol.
Palate: Medium acid, medium tannin, medium body. Notes of black cherry, dark raspberry, smoke, and hints of pepper spice. Good structure with round tannins.
Quality: 90 points – Wine Club Canada. Outstanding.

Food Pairing: Filet mignon with béarnaise sauce and sautéed asparagus, lamb souvlaki with yogurt dipping sauce, black pepper tofu with sesame bok choy, blackened chicken with roasted sweet potatoes, and rice pilaf with mushrooms.
