Collab Wine and Beverage is a shared roof in Niagara rather than a single winery.

Several small brands work alongside each other in the one building, each with its own maker and its own style. The output is unusually broad: piquette, sparkling icewine, cider and perry all come out of the same place. The story behind Collab

Collab is not a single winery so much as a shared home for many small ones. Five Brock University graduates started it in Niagara to lower the barriers for wine people who wanted to make their own small-batch labels without building a winery from the ground up.

The wine is made at the Marynissen winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, where the brands share space, gear, and know-how.

Many labels, one roof

The model is collaborative on purpose. Independent makers each run their own brand, choosing their own fruit and style, while sharing a production facility and team. That keeps things small, experimental, and personal.

The result is a roster of distinct labels rather than one house style, though a love of Riesling runs through a lot of them. It is a place for winemakers to try ideas under their own name.
