Description from the Producer
Winemaking Notes: The 2010 Neufeld Vineyard Meritage is a carefully crafted blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, all grown on our estate and aged for 14 months in French oak casks. Patiently cellared as a limited library release, this wine has developed remarkable depth and character over time.
Expressive aromas of strawberry pie filling, stewed blueberries, ripe plum and black currant are layered with subtle notes of earth and spice. The palate is rich and beautifully structured with soft, velvety tannins supporting concentrated dark fruit and savoury complexity before unfolding into a long, elegant finish.
A natural pairing for slow-cooked pot roast, grilled meats, roasted vegetables and hearty stews. This rare library release is equally rewarding enjoyed on its own, with only a limited number of bottles remaining including just 15 double magnums bottled in 2014.
