Description from the Producer

From from fruit from our Gamay block in the Four Mile Creek Appellation. The vines were spur pruned and thinned to get the best quality and concentration of the fruit. This site provides lots of air movement, alluvial soils and sand. We had a great year with the steady heat units needed to develop ripe flavours and cool autumn nights to preserve the freshness and acidity of this wine. This wine was made using various winemaking techniques. A small portion of the fruit was fermented using carbonic maceration white the rest was fermented in tank (alternating between delestage and pumpovers). This wine was aged in barrel for 15 months.

Tasting Notes

This light to medium bodied Beaujolais style red wine is smooth and a light, ripe red colour. With lots of fruit upfront and some good depth, this wine offers aromas of strawberries and cream and tart cranberry. Vibrant flavours of strawberry, raspberry, and savoury plum carry over the palate. The finish on this wine offers a hint of subtle earthinesss that is savoury, and dry.
