Description from the Producer
VQA Creek Shores
Tasting Notes: Medium-bodied with medium acidity and lovely minerality, this wine has aromas and flavours of toasted poached Bartlett pear, chalky minerality, notes of roasted almonds, and oaky vanilla. It has a pleasant, long finish on the palate.
Enjoy now with roasted pork tenderloin with caramelized pear and shallots or mushroom dishes. Age for the short term to develop additional complexities. Cellar 1 to 3 years.
Residual Sugar: 0.8 g/L
Winemaking Notes: This Pinot Gris was sourced exclusively from our Home Farm Vineyard at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Seventh Street in the Creek Shores sub-appellation.
The grapes were then fermented and aged in a 50/50 mix of oak and acacia barrels for 10 months and bottled in the spring. No malolactic fermentation to retain acidity.
